KEF is about 50 km from Reykjavík city center; a taxi usually takes about 45 minutes, though traffic and weather can change this. The Blue Lagoon is not an airport lounge

Visiting the Blue Lagoon on your arrival or departure day can work, but only if you have a realistic time slot, a plan for your luggage, confirmed transport or a clear driving route, and official confirmation that it is open and accessible that day. You will still need to shower, dry your hair, and change after the spa; only when you leave does the next leg to your hotel or the airport begin. The peninsula extends well beyond the airport and the Blue Lagoon, but it is a poor choice for an "if we have time" detour before departure.
