KEF, Blue Lagoon and Reykjavík are often presented as three options near the airport, but they play completely different roles in a day. Do not think about the Golden Circle and South Coast as the same kind of day tour
The Golden Circle is easier to do from Reykjavík and return to the city, which suits anyone who would rather not move rooms and wants to use one day for the main geothermal sights and waterfalls. It still has a meeting time and a fixed pace.
